Crown mouldings are a family of mouldings typically used to create a flared out finished edge to the top of a wall where it meets the ceiling. While most commonly used to cover any uneven edges of the drywall joint, it also serves a purpose by being used in the design and construction of cornice assemblies, door architraves, furniture, and window hoods.
